June 6: Pride Group Show Gallery Reception

Kick off Pride Month at the Center to celebrate the Local LGBTQIA+ Artists of Gunnison and Crested Butte.

June 8: CBMR Summer Operations Begin 

The Crested Butte Mountain Resort and Bike Park is open for bike hauls on the Red Lady Express lift, scenic rides on the Silver Queen, hiking, archery, disc golf and more. Open through September 29.

June 8: Butte Sessions

Featuring emerging local bands, performers, painters, jewelers, and more, come celebrate Crested Butte’s creative industries at the Center for the Arts.

June 13: The Golden Gays

The Golden Gays return to the Center Stage for a Musical Game Show.

June 19: Juneteenth Concert & Celebration 

The Melanin Mountain Project hosts a Juneteenth concert at the base area.

Celebrate the Summer Soltice at Drshti Shala’s Surya Namaskar Mala Yoga Festival at the Mt. CB Wedding Garden.

June 22: Mountain Biking Walking Tour

Join the CB Museum for a walking tour that delves into the history of Mountain Biking in Crested Butte.

June 23: Pedal Your Butte Off

Annual fundraiser to support mental health awareness and suicide prevention – participants build a human-powered wheeled device and ride around Crested Butte.

July 12-21: Crested Butte Wildflower Festival 

Crested Butte’s annual wildflower festival includes art workshops, photography events and guided hikes among the wildflowers. 

July 13: Grin and Bear It Trail Run

CB Nordic hosts the 41st annual 15k traditional out-and-back or 25k loop on the Green Lake Trail.

July 13: Mt. CB 50th Anniversary Celebration & Concert

Put on your best 70’s or gold themed costumes and celebrate the town’s 50th anniversary, featuring live music by Boogie Machine and Jack Cloonan & the Colorado All Stars, anniversary cake and cupcakes, a costume contest, pop-museum and more.

July 13: Land Trust Starry Evening Gala

This fundraising event includes live music, cocktails, delicious food, silent and live auction to benefit the Crested Butte Land Trust and support conservation in the Gunnison Valley at the Center for the Arts.

The only touring show in the world that pays tribute to all four of the original Highwaymen, at the Center.

July 25: Trailhead’s Big Summer Bash Concert

This family-friendly concert benefits the Trailhead Children’s Museum mission to provide critical development and learning opportunities through art and play to local and visiting families in the Gunnison Valley.

July 26: Living Journeys Summer Soiree

Fundraising dinner and live auction for Living Journeys featuring inspirational stories from cancer survivors and their loved ones. 

July 26: CBMR Summer Race Series

Friday night downhill mountain bike race on the mountain, followed by after party and awards. 

July 27: Living Journeys Summit Hike

Annual Living Journeys Half Marathon and Summit Hike to support people diagnosed with cancer in the Gunnison Valley.

July 27: Second Street Walking Tour

Walking tour that delves into the history of the buildings along CB’s Second Street.

July 27: Feast in the Field 

This annual farm-to-table event hosted by Mountain Roots Food Project is an opportunity to celebrate the flavors of the season at Red Dog Ranch.

July 27: 80s Retro Revolution

KBUT and the Center present an ‘80s themed dance party, taking you back to a neon-soaked wonderland. All ages party followed by a 21 & up party.

July 29: Alpenglow – Dragondeer

Free summer outdoor concert series presented by the Center for the Arts. 

July 30: Summer Classics: Crimson Duo

Featuring local Crested Butte photography paired with modern classical compositions, violin-harp duo Matthew Milewski and Jaymee Haefner will kick off the Center’s Summer Classics festival.

August 2: Asleep at the Wheel 

Western swing music will be on the Center’s stage with Asleep at the Wheel. 

August 2-4: Crested Butte Arts Festival 

A weekend of fine art exhibition intertwined with live entertainment, activities, food and more on Elk Avenue.

August 3-4: Summer Classics: Così fan tutte

Mozart’s Così fan tutte is one of the most dramatic operas written in the 1700s, on stage at the Center.

August 3-4: Downhill Rockies MTB series

CBMR and Downhill Rockies team up to present the regional downhill mountain bike race to the resort.

August 4-5: Adaptive Sports Center Crested Butte Open 

The Adaptive Sports Center hosts this annual two-day event to fundraiser with an evening Gala Dinner and Golf Tournament.

A non-juried arts and crafts festival hosted by the Paragon Gallery helping regional Colorado artists showcase their artwork.

The Summer Grand Traverse presented by Crested Butte Nordic includes a trail run from Mt. Crested Butte to Aspen and a mountain bike race from Aspen to Mt. Crested Butte.

SEPTEMBER

September 5: Lauren + Richard Eisen Gallery Reception 

Lauren and Richard Eisen bring the natural forces of nature to the walls of the Kinder Padon Gallery.

September 6: Pearls and Pioneers Pub Crawl

Join the Crested Butte Museum for a historic pub crawl and townie takeover around town. 

September 7: Chili and Beer Festival 

Kick off fall with the Chamber of Commerce and enjoy the best of Colorado craft beers, ciders and seltzers alongside homemade chili from top local cookers and live music on the mountain. 

September 8: Bridges of the Butte 

During this four-hour townie takeover, participants in their craziest costumes meander across all the bridges in Crested Butte to help raise funds for the Adaptive Sports Center. 

September 14: Trek for Life

The 6th Annual Trek for Life is a memorial hike on West Maroon Pass to raise awareness for mental and behavioral health and raise funds to provide mental health services in the community. 

September 18-22: Crested Butte
Film Festival 

This international film festival showcases the greatest, boldest and most exciting works that cinema has to offer, including screenings, conversations, panel discussions, parties and Townie Takeovers. 

September 21-22: Western Mountain Sports Pagan Pedal

The Western Mountain Sports Pagan Pedal features men’s and women’s collegiate bike races at CBMR. 

September 26-28: Burlesque Festival

The Center, in conjunction with Baby LaFemme, is thrilled to bring you the inaugural Rocky Mountain Burlesque Festival! Featuring community events and classes, culminating in a burlesque showcase sure to blow you right out of your seat (21+).

September 28: Ghosts Walking Tour

Join the Crested Butte Museum for a ghost-themed walking tour and get introduced to some local resident spirits.
